View Product Ingredient FAQ

I specialize in formulating for those of us with allergies & sensitivities that're often an afterthought, if they're considered at all!

  • Bath & Shower products are Olive Oil & Mango Butter based, for extra gentleness;
  • Body products are intentionally formulated to dry matte without a greasy or sticky residue!
  • All are formulated without coconut oil, tree nut oils, palm oil, shea butter, or avocado oil;
  • Nearly every product is also available fragrance free too!

Ingredient Quick FAQ

- What do I mean by Fragrance Free or Unscented?

Any products labeled Fragrance Free or Unscented mean that:

  • No fragrance oil or essential oil has been added to the product;
  • No scent neutralizer has been added to the product;
  • If there's any scent from the raw materials used to make the product, I note it in the "Scent Description" section of the product page.
- Why the emphasis on coconut free?
  • Primarily because I'm allergic!
  • But mostly because there are enough products out there using coconut derived ingredient as the surfactant (the bubble maker) in products.

    It does make formulating a bit more challenging, but I'm a soap chemistry & data nerd so the challenge is worth for someone to finally find a product that works for them!
- Do I use nuts or tree nut oils in any products?
  • Nope! I am also allergic to nuts & tree nuts, so I formulate without them, and work hard to stay up to date on potential cross-reactivity.
- Why don't I use shea butter?
  • Although I'm not allergic to it (surprisingly lol), I'm aware of the high cross reactivity between Shea Butter and Latex.
  • Avocado Oil also has a high cross reactivity with latex, so I'd rather err on the side of caution for those with latex allergies or sensitivities!

What kind of metals do I use?

Visit the Metalwork FAQ page for more detailed info on the metals I use in my jewelry and decor pieces!

*Read more below for an overview!

Read About my Metalwork

I got frustrated with never finding bangles that fit over my wrist braces, earrings that didn't weight my ears down, or rings that could adjust to the random swelling in my fingers.

So I decided to make what I couldn't find!

  • For Jewelry I mainly use Copper, Sterling Silver & 14k Gold Fill;
  • For those ultra sensitive to silver, I also have Titanium & Niobium as an option;
  • For decor & sculptures I work in aluminum and copper.
  • All the metals I use are nickel & lead free!

(My favorite is using Titanium & Gold Filled wire together because I love the contrast of mixed metals!)

Metalwork Quick FAQ

- Is the jewelry hypoallergenic?
  • I only work with metals that are lead & nickel free!
  • I do my best to have pieces available in different metals, to accommodate different metal sensitivities.
  • Hypoallergenic isn't a regulated term so I prefer to be transparent and simply tell you the composition of each metal I'm using.
- Do I do any custom jewelry orders?
  • Yes, I love doing custom pieces!
  • I open up commissions for a limited number of customs every month!

Use the Custom Order or Contact Page to start the process!

- Okay, what does accessibility have to do with jewelry?

Accessibility in Jewelry can look like:

  • Magnetic clasps as an option
  • Non-piercing ear cuffs for less weight/pressure on the ears
  • Adjustable versions of rings & bracelets
  • Bracelets & Bangles that fit over wrist braces
  • Sensory descriptions when applicable

Why Knit & Crochet?

I know it may seem random, but my business actually started with loom knit products!

Due to physical limitations though, I had to drastically slow down on actually making, and shift focus to something more accessible to me!

*Check out my About Me page for more on my story!

Meet the Maker!

The Stitchery doesn't get updated as frequently as it used to. But as I move more into the the pattern writing world, you'll see it and my Ravelry page be a lot more active!

I'll also be adding useful notes and resources for fellow makers who're just starting out, or trying to polish their skills in:

  • loom knitting
  • circular knitting
  • mosaic & regular crochet

*I may or may not also bring back some exclusive hand dyed yarn, so keep an eye out!

Knitwork Quick FAQ

- Do I have a favorite yarn type?
  • Bamboo yarn blends!
  • Love how they're usually really soft & smooth, and drape so well when worked up!
  • When I can, I do try to work with yarn types that keep products accessible (price wise), without sacrificing quality!
- Do I still do custom knit or crochet orders?
  • Due to mobility & dexterity limitations, I rarely can do customs for knit or crochet pieces;
  • However, depending on the complexity of the request, I may be able to at least give you a quote and an estimated timeline;
  • Customizations to accommodate limb differences are always an option though!

Use the Custom Order or Contact Page to start the process!

- What does accessibility have to do with fiber arts?

This can look like:

  • Custom sizing to accommodate limb difference upon request;
  • Sensory descriptions of the texture, weight and drape;
  • Care instructions that include info whether the piece is low or high maintenance;
  • An option to have the piece made in a different yarn type if you're sensitive to the yarn it's originally made in
